Park Home Retrofit Grant
Grant funding available to improve the energy efficiency of park homes in Somerset
The District Council’s of South Somerset, Mendip, Sedgemoor, Somerset West and Taunton together with the Centre for Sustainable Energy (CSE) have successfully bid for Government funding to deliver energy efficiency improvements to 70 park homes in Somerset.
The funding comes from the Green Homes Grant Local Authority Delivery Programme and is targeted at lower income households whose park homes could benefit from energy efficiency improvements.
We have from April until August 2021 to deliver the improvement works and we are inviting households who live in a park home to apply now to see if they are eligible.
The upgrade measures we are looking to install include:
- Insulation to walls, floors and roofs;
- Replacing doors or windows where required;
- Heating upgrades and replacement where possible.
We are currently appointing a contractor to deliver the works on our behalf. This will ensure the works are correctly certified and installed to the correct standard.
CSE will manage the project to ensure all park homes are thoroughly surveyed before any improvements take place and that the work is the right option for the household and for the home.
After receiving your application, where we believe you meet the criteria for a grant, we will contact you to confirm eligibility and to book a survey of your home. The survey will identify suitable improvements that can be achieved in your home and whether these can be funded through the grant. Owner occupiers will not be asked to contribute to the works.
All successful and unsuccessful applicants will be contacted by May.
If you would like to be considered for a grant to complete works to your park home, please complete the application form on the Centre for Sustainable Energy (CSE) website using the link below.
