Grants are available for projects benefiting Somerset West and Taunton residents.

Somerset Community Foundation

Somerset Community Foundation manage a range of grants for individuals and groups who can sign up to receive funding alerts to inform on the opening and closing dates of these funds. If you want to receive funding alerts sign up by scrolling down the home page of the SCF website and type in your name and email address into the newsletter sign up box.

Somerset West Lottery

The Somerset West Lottery is a local lottery run by Somerset West and Taunton Council. The lottery offers registered good causes the opportunity to raise income for their organisation by selling tickets to members of the public. It gives 50p from every £1 ticket sold to local registered good causes with 10p from every ticket sale going into a community grant fund for which local good causes can apply twice yearly.

Taunton unparished fund

The fund is for community improvements in the unparished area of Taunton. Following district council elections in May, a decision will be made on how these funds are administered.

Planning obligations funds – West Somerset

Grants are available for communities in the former West Somerset Council area affected by local developments. The levels of funding available and areas able to benefit will change dependent on planning consent and the conditions set. See the Planning obligations S106 page for more information.
