Deane Helpline gadgets
Your Lifeline pendant is supplied as standard. It can be worn around the neck or on the wrist and is waterproof for the shower or bath.
We can also supply extra devices and programme them into your Lifeline system. These may need fixing to walls or ceiling, Deane Helpline will arrange for this. There is a charge for extra items.
Personal trigger: this means you can call for help anywhere in your home and in the garden, up to 50 metres from the unit, in case you fall or feel ill and can’t get to the phone.
Detects smoke in the home and includes low battery alerts.
Provides an early warning of flooding, such as taps being left on.
Detects high or low temperatures and rapid rise or fall in temperature. Useful for risks in cold weather or over heating.
Automatically raises an alarm to the Deane Helpline Control Centre if you fall from standing without warning, for example someone who may get blackouts.
Warns of dangerous carbon monoxide levels in the air which could be missed.
Fixed by the front door to raise an alarm if you get an unexpected caller.
Can be easily filled by yourself, a relative, carer or pharmacist to deal out medication at pre-set times. It will automatically alert the Control Centre if there are any missed doses.
We can also supply other services and equipment at extra cost, depending on what you choose. These include:
- other devices (listed further or call for advice)
- monitoring other devices
- door entry control
- contact calls
- equipment loss or damage
- an extra charge will be made for replacing any lost or damaged Lifeline equipment
- key safes
Payment for equipment rental and monitoring charges are made three months in advance. We’ll refund advance payment if the Lifeline is removed.
You must agree to at least 3 months for the monitoring agreement. It can then be cancelled with one month's notice. There is also a 'cooling off period' of 7 days after the equipment is installed if you change your mind.
