Supported Housing Team

The Sheltered Housing Team provide a range of services and support, including;

  • Help on entering the service - viewing the property, signing your tenancy, induction into the home/tenancy and support over the initial 6 week period, after you move in
  • Preventing tenancy breakdown – referral to help, advice, support and information to manage your tenancy, for example, advice and information regarding welfare benefits, budgeting, managing money, tenancy responsibilities etc.
  • Referral to help, advice, support and information to specialist services, regarding mental health, drug and alcohol use etc.
  • Regular inspections of the schemes to ensure that the environment remains safe and secure
  • Support and referral for relevant aids and adaptations, or disability grants, to enable you to continue to live independently
  • Help with moving on, if you want to transfer to another property, do a mutual exchange or end your tenancy
  • Installation of individual Lifelines and pendants for you to access support and have regular welfare calls from the Deane Helpline service
  • An annual review and update of your health and care needs, to ensure that Deane Helpline staff are aware of your needs/any changes, and can respond to any calls appropriately
