We are looking for enthusiastic people to join our team within Deane Helpline, based at Kilkenny Court Control Centre and providing a 24-hour emergency support service for vulnerable people in their own homes.

The post holders will provide relief to help cover for sickness and annual leave on an ad-hoc basis. This role requires a valid, full car driving licence with no more than six points on it.

You will be required to:

  • Respond to emergency calls, day and night, during your scheduled shifts.
  • Have a knowledge of First Aid (training will be given if required).
  • Work alone and have the confidence to make on the spot decisions.
  • Liaise with other professional services.
  • Programme, install and check lifeline equipment within the client’s own homes (training will be given if required).
  • Undertake assisted lifting of people who have fallen using specialist equipment provided.
