A member of SWT’s housing team has been shortlisted for a national award in recognition of “the people that make housing great”.
Dee Bradley is a finalist in the Inspirational Colleague of the Year category of the Housing Heroes Awards run by Inside Housing and the Chartered Institute of Housing.
Dee who works in the team offering advice on debts and benefits, said: “I was blown away to be nominated and to get this far is huge – things like this don’t usually happen to me.
I just love my job and work with some amazing colleagues. I’m very proud to be able to do the very best I can to work for and support our communities here in the district.”
Councillor Fran Smith, Executive Member for Housing, said: “SWT strives to be a district which offers a choice of good quality homes for our residents, whatever their age and income, in communities where support is available for those who need it.
The work of our ambitious housing team is key to this success and we are proud that Dee has been shortlisted for Inspirational Colleague of the Year. She has really shone in how she supports our tenants with great customer service. In the words of one - “Dee Bradley is a community hero”.
She really deserves this accolade and we wish her luck, but whatever happens the winners are also our tenants who receive great care and amazing service from Dee.”
The Housing Heroes Awards 2020 will take place at a virtual awards ceremony this year, as part of Housing 2020: The Virtual Festival on Thursday 10 September.
