Staff are still working and the council will continuing to deliver services and ensure our most vulnerable residents are supported.
Customers can help us by using our online services and not communicating via paper post as far as possible. Many of our services can be accessed online.
If you still need to speak to someone you can call our customer services team on 0300 304 8000 between 8am – 6pm. If you have a homeless emergency please call the free phone number 0808 164 5186.
The Coronavirus pandemic has meant that many working and democratic arrangements have already been re-organised.
Key to this has been ensuring public involvement in decision making with virtual committee meetings which are also live streamed so that members of the public can watch from home.
These will continue and members of the public can still to register to speak by following the guidance on our website - www.somersetwestandtaunton.gov.uk/your-council/speaking-at-a-council-meeting/
Leader of SWT, Cllr Federica Smith-Roberts, said: “We have adapted to many challenges through this pandemic and will continue working hard to ensure frontline services are provided and extra help is available to our businesses and communities, including our tenants and the vulnerable.
“I’m proud of how our Council has responded to the impact of Coronavirus and am grateful for the support of our communities throughout this difficult time.”
The Avon and Somerset Police enquiries desk in the Deane House Hub will remain open.
