Work complete at East Quay wall

Work to replace a section of the wall at East Quay, Watchet, is now complete representing an investment of £0.75m into the coastal community.
The maintenance work was identified following a professional survey of the wall - part of the structure which creates the Marina and protects Watchet as a sea defence.
It was carried out by TMS Maritime Ltd, an established marine piling company with years of experience in similar projects.
Cllr Marcus Kravis, Executive Member for Assets, said: “I am pleased to see the completion of this work at East Quay. It has been another huge project delivered by SWT to protect our coastal communities and I would like to thank them for bearing with us while we carried out this work.”
SWT also recently completed a £1m project to rebuild the Splash Point sea defence wall in Watchet after it was destroyed in the winter storms of 2019/20.
